Verb Agreement Respectively

In the subjects` prebal condition (Table 5), the longer TRRs in bilingual children also found a major effect of the group on all segments compared to unilingual children [1st segment: F1 (1, 70) = 10.207, p = 0.002, ηp2 = 0.129; F2 (1, 47) = 12.883, p < 0.001, ηp2 = 0.219; 2. segment: F1 (1, 70) = 11.607, p = 0.001, ηp2 = 0.144; F2 (1, 47) = 34.516, p < 0.001, ηp2 = 0.429; 3. segment: F1 (1, 70) = 17.160, p < 0.001, ηp2 = 0.199; F2 (1, 47) = 24.691, p < 0.001, ηp2 = 0.349; 4. segment: F1 (1, 70) = 12.636, p = 0.001, ηp2 = 0.155; F2 (1, 47) = 24.794, p < 0.001, ηp2 = 0.350; 5. segment: F1 (1, 70) = 9.256, p = 0.003, ηp2 = 0.118; F2 (1, 47) = 15.728, p < 0.001, ηp2 = 0.255; 6. segment: F1 (1, 70) = 15.694, p < 0.001, ηp2 = 0.185; F2 (1, 47) = 16.365, p < 0.001, ηp2 = 0.262]. In addition, a major effect of the number on the segment was detected immediately after the verb: longer TRS was found after singular abrating compared to TRS for segments after abbreviated plurals [5th segment: F1 (1, 70) = 7.051, p = 0.010, ηp2 = 0.093; F2 (1, 47) = 7.720, p = 0.008, ηp2 = 0.144]. Finally, no Group by Number interactions were found, suggesting that bilingual and monolingual children deal with similar pre-visual structures. • Objects with two parts like pants, trousers, gloves, breakers, jeans, tights, shorts, pajamas, drawers, etc. and instruments such as scissors, pliers, binoculars, pliers, glasses, specs, folding band, pliers, etc. adopt a plural verb when used in the coarse form and are singular when used with a pair.

Shlonsky (Dordrecht: Kluwer), 45-70e Spyropoulos, v. The acceptance judgment task, which aims to test the subject-verb concordance in Greek, manipulates two factors: the position of the subject (pre-/postverbal) and the number of verbs (singular/plural). The experiment consisted of 96 items; 24 experimental and 72 filling sets.

The experimental items were of a similar length of syllables and the DPs were definitive, singular and animated (except for one inanimate item); half of the EP concerned proper names. The task was carried out online, which lasted about 10-15 minutes. Participants were instructed to rate the phrases in Greek on a scale of 1 to 5, with 1 being the score for an unacceptable rate in Greek and 5 for a completely acceptable rate. The conditions are illustrated in (9-12) below: the plurality of a property (c`. B, i.e. a noun) in relation to the adverb is ”relatively” irrelevant because, in this case, the adverb is attached to the verb. There is no verb + Adverb Aggrement. However, if two nouns are connected by ”including”, ”accompanied”, ”in addition” or ”also”, the verb corresponds to the first noun, as in: After Spyropoulos (2007) and Aoun et al.

(1994; see also Jean, 1998; Harbert and Bahloul, for similar analyses in 2002, can be taken into account by the adoption of a coordination of the Vice-President, each conjunction being the subject of a separate clause, thus creating a singular consensus. The elevation of the verb on the inflection head with the removal of the two lower copies of the verb leads to a surface regulation in which the singular verb is followed by two interconnected singular Dps. . . .
